Say It Out Loud, Watermelon Wallets!

Its fun to say out loud, Watermelon Wallets, Watermelon Wallets, Watermelon Wallets.....

But I digress, went to the Fabric Warehouse today for more zippers.  And of course, some inexpensive, weird fabric.  Today's fun, watermelon stripes and spots.

I'm liking the zigzag stitch on the white print.

And the ants!!! So cute!

Happy Mothers Day all you fabulous Mom's out there!

We had a lovely gathering over at Susan's house to celebrate Mothers Day.  It was quite nice,
I'm back in the studio today.  Here's the stuff I made:

Superman and Batman Wallets

Zipper backs - love that wood plank fabric!

Nice vibrant green interiors

I also made another little zipper purse.  This nice fabric is a gift from Susan, she's a peach!

6.5" x 6"

3.5" at the bottom edge

Nice lining (as always)
That first shot of the zipper purse is a great product shot, don't you think?

Have a great evening everyone!

My dad liked the original so much he's decided he'd try it out for a change pouch.

I've also been having my morning coffee in my little backyard patio.
Is that a baby strawberry in the lower right hand corner?!

Faux Chenille

I've been wanting to try this for a while and I finally gave it a go.  I used flannel fabric so its really soft and nice.  I want to put a fringe of some kind on the ends.  All in all I'm pretty pleased!
Cool huh?

Further Adventures in Purse Making

Okay, I have the little purses down at this point.  I really like the recent one with the pink piping and the shorter handles.  The large bag is a little slouchy, its a knit material so it doesn't crisp up like the cotton.  But its a good size I think (8" x 6.5"), and the portions are good.  Nice roomy pockets on the outside and a couple pockets in the inside.

All in all a good days work.
